Progressive five-year-old galloper Coronate will face the toughest test of his career at Belmont Park this Saturday, when he returns to racing in the Pink Lady Luncheon Sprint (1200m).

The son of Verglas, who is having his second preparation under the care of Aquanita trainer Simon Miller, was able to record three wins during his last campaign and take his prize earnings above the $200,000 mark.

Coronate was a recent solid trial performer, where he finished fourth behind Three Amigos under a firm hold from rider Ryan Martin.

On Saturday, the grey gelding will jump from barrier five, taking on classy performers For Your Eyes Only and Shock Value, as well as in-form sprinters Kens Double and Hide The Loot.

"I couldn't be happier with the horse. It is a good measuring stick for him, to see where we really are at with him. It is a top class field, but I believe I have my horse in tip top condition." An upbeat Simon Miller commented to Perth Racing.

"I have a few races in mind with him, but will have to wait and see how he measures up on Saturday. His trial was outstanding and I am really looking forward to Saturday's race."

Also representing the Miller stable on Saturday is Beautiful Crown gelding Hermosa Corona.

The four-year-old galloper was a good first up winner for the Miller camp, before his most recent outing when he finished seventh behind General Albert.

"It was a top first up win by the horse, but second up he drew wide and he got further back than anticipated, before working home reasonably well. After that run I am of the belief that he is a better horse kept fresh with his runs spaced apart. I have freshened him right up for Saturday and from his good draw he should race well." Miller commented about Hermosa Corona.

Hermosa Corona is currently a $9.00 chance with Playeronline.com.au, while Coronate is quoted at $13.00.
