News that Showcasing will wear blinkers for the first time in Friday's Darley July Cup, as owner Khalid Abdullah bids for yet another Group 1 success, has brought market support.

The three-year-old was cut to 16-1 from 25-1 for the July festival highlight with Ladbrokes, Paddy Power and Stan James on Sunday.

Victor Chandler are 20-1 from 25-1 about the horse who disappointed when finishing last in the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot, while race winner Starspangledbanner is into 13-8 favourite from 7-4 with Paddy Power.

Paul Hanagan may have had to give up his rides at Ayr after being kicked in the face but he continues to shorten as second favourite to odds-on champion Ryan Moore in the jockey title betting. The northern-based challenger is 9-4 from 3-1 with Victor Chandler and only 2-1 from 11-4 with William Hill, who report him the worst loser in their book.
