Grand slam winning rider Jim Cassidy returns to trackwork tomorrow after operations on both knees.
Cassidy, who had been riding with pain for over two years, had both knees operated on and a pin removed from his right ankle to extend his career in the saddle.
Cassidy spent the tail end of winter on the sidelines but after recuperating well will return to trackwork riding tomorrow morning.
“I'll start back at trackwork tomorrow and give the knees a test, and hopefully by the end of next week get a clearance to kick off in the first week of August.”
Cassidy is keen to be re-united with the Chris Waller stable, in particularly looking forward to riding Slater during the spring.
The Redoute's Choice colt won his only start at a midweek meeting at Canterbury but it wasn't the win but the way in which he felt that has Cassidy excited about his future prospects.
